Mark your calendars and plan on joining Utah Free Media for our first fundraising event: an evening with "a skilled purveyor of sophisticated twang," Carrie Rodriguez and her band on Sunday January 18th. Opening for Carrie will be the Kaiser Cartel.

Where: Leona Wagner Black Box Theatre at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center
How Much: $35 - general admission; $75 - includes "meet & greet," soundcheck, drinks and food. (6:00pm)

Funds raised will go toward buying equipment to enhance the sound of
UtahFM, give more of the city’s radio documentarians the opportunity to
create original works, and pay the station’s music licensing fees.

We're looking for an experienced radio producer to work with local personalities in the development of a new podcast program. Minimum 2 years radio, tv or film experience. The time commitment is once-a-week for two hours, the schedule is flexible, the pay is non-existent, experience is fulfilling and you'll meet some great people.

delectable doses. Independent local media veterans bring SLC notables
onto the show to let them tell firsthand tales from the city’s creative
side. Contributors include Jerry Rapier, Jamie Gadette, Bill Frost, Angela
Brown, Crystal Y-O, and Laura Durham, representing the
City Weekly, SLUG Magazine, Salty Cricket, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera,
Plan-B Theatre and the Gallery Stroll.

skills over the course of a semester in the fields of sound
engineering, event coordination, public relations or graphic design. Shape the media of things to come while you gain practical experience
